Pet Friendly Businesses
Cafes
The Plant Cafe: In Marina. They have a graet vegitarian burger and a few outdoor tables. They also have a water bowl out for your dogs. They also had vegan cookies.
Java on Ocean: In SF. Cute cafe in Ingleside. They only have 2 tables outside if you take your dog.
Parks
Stern Grove : They have a great off leash dog area and it is far from streets, so even my puppy can run around without a leash. Also, we can always find small dogs to play with here, so this is our favorite park. Small dog walk from 5:30pm on Tue. and 5p on Thurs. Near Pine Lake.
Seal Point Dog Park-San Mateo : This is a fenced in park. There is a small dog area and large dog area. It is all dirt. The large dog area is huge. The small dog area is a good size with benches and roof over it for shade. It was very nice to have a shady area on a hot day. After running around in the dog park, we went up a hill from the parking lot and could see the ocean. We like the park, but we do with there was some grass area...
Restaurants
The Crepevine in Burlingame: Their outdoor tables fill up quick on weekends. We discovered that Burlingame Ave is a very pet-friendly street, so we will be going there more often.
Ni-Mo in San Mateo: Their food is just OK, but they have outdoor seating, so we can take Mochi there with us.
Other businesses
St Francis Square Veterinary Hospital in Daly City : We took Mochi here for the first time since our other vets are so far away. And we really liked the vet we saw (female). They are more old school. It is not as high tech as other vet in terms of equipments. Their price is reasonable. Our visit + some pills for his allergy was only $45! Our other vet charges $68 just for a visit. My friend got a puppy recently from a breeder and the breeder recommended St Francis to him also.
SF SPCA : Our Mochi got newtered here. It is at the new facility, so it was nice and clean. Everything went well.
Clipper Corner (Groomer) : Great groomers. Mochi went to a groomer once before and he was horrified when I picked him up and it was a bad hair cut. But when I went back to Clipper Corner to pick him up, he was not nervous at all. He was happy and they did a great job styling his hair.T They are a bit pricey, but worth it.
Petco on Sloat (Groomer) : We stopped by after the small dog beach walk on Sat. So we just decided to get his facial hair cleaned up. The groomers were really good with Mochi and did a great job. Triming facial hair only was $16!
